We will be holding a Fund Raising Day at the shop on Saturday 18th May for Christies Hospital. This is to raise money to support the hospital where our good friend and machine embroidery tutor Henny Harrison is receiving treatment for lung cancer and Joan Garlick, one of our other friends/customers is also receiving treatment. Henny has donated lots of great books and magazines and along with these I have decided to put on an exhibition at the shop to showcase the great quilts etc that we have been making. We will have a raffle, cake stall, tombola, plants, book sale etc. Entry will be £1.

Any fabrics sold on the day, we will donate 20% of all the takings to the fund.

You can help in three ways. ...

1. Donate any items for sale that you might have lying around (books, magazines, fabric, cushions, bags, patterns etc.)

2. Bring in the quilts etc that you have made at workshops here for display (by Weds 15th May please)

3. Come along on Saturday 18th May to enjoy the exhibition and bag yourself a bargin. Please spread the word among your friends and family too.

We all know someone who has been touched by cancer, so lets try and raise some money for the great work that Christies do to help these people.
